Old Friend

I thought that it was going to take a long time to make this card but I was wrong! It took 5 minutes and I love how it turned out! I created it for the Cinema Saturday Challenge #87 -Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood. I knew that I wanted to use this saying by StampinUp. I embossed it with Detail White embossing powder. This movie is about old friends, staying close and helping a friend when she needs it even though she didn't want their help! This is a fun and touching movie. They used sunflowers in this movie so I pulled out my sunflower stamps. Then I found this die cut by Meri Meri in my stash. I also found these cute little girls by Heartwarming Vintage. You are supposed to put a collage element on your card so I hope the flowers and girls count! Thanks for stopping by!

Indian Summer

When I think of Indian Summer, I think of reds, oranges, yellows and browns. I don't think that it is Indian Summer here, I think it is the Never-ending Summer! I have created this card for 4 challenges

indecisive...

I don't know what is wrong with me here lately. I make a card and then I redo it. This time I am not sure which one I like best so I will just post both and at least I have 2 male birthday cards! I created this for the Cinema Saturday Challenge #95-High Noon. I don't think that I have seen this movie. My husband and son loves Westerns. My favorite modern Western is Open Range. My son can quote this movie line by line! I also used the sketch at Stamptacular Sunday #76.

The first card that I created, the paper is Ella Blue and specialty star paper. The stamp is Paper Studio and the saying is StampinUp which is embossed with Sandstone embossing powder. I decided that I didn't care much for it so I made another one. I ran the blue panel through the star Cuttlebug folder and the brown one through the Clockwise Cuttlebug folder. I embossed the cowboys in the Sandstone and added blue square brads. Which one do you like best? Thanks for stopping by!

The movie or inspiration at Cinema Saturday Challenge #94 is Sleepy Hollow. I remember watching the cartoon (Disney?) version as a child and being pretty darn scared!
