A Funny Card...

I created this card for 3 challenges.

Basic Grey Week 8-a sketch by Tara G
Allsorts Week #29- Buttons Galore
Saturday Spotlight with Hidden Potential Week 9-Hats On

I don't usually make too many funny cards but it is nice to do one every once in a while! The stamp is American Art Stamp. I colored her with Copic markers. Anyway, I used the Basic Grey paper Sultry. I ran the pink panel through Swiss Dots Cuttlebug. I added buttons per the Allsorts challenge and pink gems which look better in real life because they don't scan well! Thanks for stopping by!

Yet another...

Fantasy Tree in a different color! Are you tired of them yet? This stamp is so versatile, you can use it with so many different colors. I made this for the Penny Black Challenge #77- a Sketch by Beth and the Stampin for the Weekend Challenge-Lilac and Silver. I stamped the tree and embossed it with silver embossing powder. I added Bling on the tree by Basic Grey. The sparkly silver paper is from my stash. The saying is StampinUp. I added a white ribbon. Thanks for stopping by!

Stamptacular Sunday

I made a card for Stamptacular Sunday #34-Nature-tacular. I bought this stamp by A Stamp in the Hand Co. last weekend and this was the perfect challenge to use it! I embossed with black. I then colored the image with Copic markers. The saying is Stampscapes, Inc. which I also embossed it in black. I don't know the manufacture of the patterned paper. I added flowers, buttons and leaves punched with a Martha Stewart punch. Thanks for stopping by!

I don't have a whole lot of Penny Black stamps and I wanted to make a card for their Winter Wonderland challenge so I used the Fantasy Stamp again! This time I embossed it in Stardust Embossing powder. The saying is from The Paper Studio. The patterned paper is Basic Grey and I ran the white panel though the snowflake Cuttlebug embossing folder. I added a ribbon and a gem swirl for the Truly Scrumptious Sketch Challenge.I am also entering this one in the Allsorts challenge since the saying on my card is a song title! Thanks for stopping by!

And the lion layed down with the lamb...

I don't usually post personal stuff on here but I am off work today because I am going to attend my Aunt's funeral and it is also my birthday! My Aunt was very dear to me. You know how some people are just good with kids? Well she was. She would do crafts with me. She would order a craft kit just for her and me to work on every month! My Mom (her Sister) died when I was five and my Aunt was like a surrogate Mom to me! Anyway, she was 87, in a nursing home, had pneumonia and was ready to go Home. I will celebrate my birthday this weekend. On Friday I am going to spend the day with my daughter and we are going to see New Moon. Then I am going to Gatlinburg, Tenn. with some of my girlfriends for the weekend. So I woke up at 4:00 in the morning and saw that they had posted the new sketch for the Midnight Madness Sketch #28 so I decided to make a card for it.

The stamps are StampinUp. I cut out the lion and the lamb and gold embossed the saying and the star. I ran the strips through the Cuttlebug. I gold embossed the green strip and rubbed green ink on the gold strip. I received the patterned paper in a kit and it didn't have the name of the designer on it. I added brown leaves, a dove from Joles wedding set and put a leaf in its mouth. I added a tassel from my stash. Thanks for stopping by!

In a State of Happiness...

I created this card for 2 challenges.

Our Creative Corner-Sketch/Inspiration Challenge
Cinema Saturday Challenge #58-Roman Holiday

The movie for inspiration this week at the Cinema Saturday Challenge is Roman Holiday. I think I had seen this movie a long time ago but I watched some of the clips to refresh my memory. You got to love Audrey Hepburn! The requirement this week was to use pearls. When I saw the sketch at Our Creative Corner, I knew that I had to combine them! The woman stamp is Hot off the Press. I cut around it with post stamp sissors and layered a sticker from Colorbok over it. The sticker in the postcard is also Colorbok. I inked the edges to make it look old. The sticker at the bottom is The Wright Stickers and the paper is Doodlebug. I added the pearl bling. I tried to use mostly black and white because it is a black and white movie! Thanks for stopping by!

Be Joyful...

I created this card for 2 challenges.
Get Sketchy #14 and Basic Grey Week 8-Glitz and bling.
I received this digital image from Danni for a Flutter by Wednesday challenge on her blog. I colored it with Copic markers. For the Basic Grey Challenge you had to use bling and glitz on your card. I used the patterned paper Sultry. I added Dazzling Diamonds on the paper and butterflies. I added the diamond bling under the saying which is a rubon by Marcella K. Thanks for stopping by!

This card is for 3 challenges.

House Mouse Challenge #56-Kit Card

My Big Fat Greek Wedding Card

The move this week at the Cinema Saturday Challenge is the fabulous movie My Big Fat Greek Wedding. I love this movie! When it came out, I went with a group of girls from work to see it and we laughed our heads off. It comes on the Family Channel all of the time and I always have to watch it! The requirement this week was to make a wedding card. I downloaded this digital image from Squigglefly. I had to use the Greek colors of blue and white. I coloured Tula and Ian with Copic markers and used Dazzling Diamonds on the dress. The stamp on the blue panel is The Paper Studio. The Forever and the doves are stickers by Doodlebug. The flowers are Spare Parts and the punch is Martha Stewart. If you haven't watched this movie, do and check out the Cinema Saturday site and make a card! Thanks for stopping by!

Midnight Madness meets Basic Grey

I created this card for 2 challenges. I used the great sketch at Midnight Madness #27 and the Basic Grey Challenge Week 7-Photo Inspiration. The stamps are StampinUp and Queen Kat Designs. I embossed them with gold. The Basic Grey paper that I used is Porcelain and the other patterned paper is Scrap in Style TV. I added the gold ribbon. Simple card but I like the way it turned out. Thanks for stopping by!

Cinema Saturday #56-Legally Blonde

The movie for inspiration this week at the Cinema Saturday Challenge is Legally Blonde. I just made a card with this Penny Black stamp but this stamp screams Elle Woods! This is a fun movie and the requirement was to use an uplifting saying. I don't know how uplifting this saying is but it fits this card and Elle Woods always seems to be having fun! I printed from my computer. I colored the image with Copic markers. I added this cute little sticker dog, it doesn't look too much like Bruiser Woods but it was all that I had! The papers are Bo Bunny and I added pearl bling. Thanks for stopping by!

Penny Black Saturday #73-White on White

This card is for the latest Penny Black Saturday Challenge.
I love tree stamps and I have admired this stamp Fantasy by Penny Black used on other crafter's cards but I never got around to ordering it. Well, yesterday I went to Hobby Lobby and they had their wood handle rubber stamps 50% off and I found it! Woo Hoo! I knew it would be perfect for this challenge! I embossed the tree with black and silver and added the gems. I cut it out and added it to a panel that I ran through the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots and used a Deckle edge sissors on the edges. I ran the big panel through the Snowflake Cuttlebug. The tag is cut out with the Cuttlebug too. I clear embossed the snowflake(Paper Studio) and added the saying (StampinUp) and added the ribbon. Thanks for stopping by!
