wishing you peace and happiness...

It is snowing here (again) this weekend! I am hibernating in my craft room today! I have created this card for 4 challenges.

Just Us Girls #63  -Stained Glass Technique
Play Date Cafe #59 -Blues and Purple
Mojo Monday 168 #  -Contest
ABC Challenge-J is for Jems and Jewels

I had fun using these colors and using the stained glass technique! The hanging snowflakes are Queen Kat Designs stamped with VersaColor Icicle stamp pad. The saying is Queen Kat  Design also stamped with purple ink. I cut it with Spellbinders Label. The background is embossed with the Snowflake Cuttlebug embossing folder. Here is how I made the ornament which is Verve and the snowflake in the middle is StampinUp. I stamped the image on  clear acetate with black Stazon. I covered it with Glossy Effects and added the Glitter, let it dry, cut it out and added it to my card. The glitter is on the back next to the card, so that glitter don't get everywhere!  I added ribbon and blue gems. Thanks for stopping by!

The Fuzzy Wuzzy December Challenge-Christmas Something or An-Otter...

Here is my Design Team project for The Fuzzy Wuzzy Challenge. The challenge for the month of December is Christmas Something or to make a gift or alter something, just use a critter on your project! The sponsor for this month is Whimsy Stamps. You have a chance to win your choice of 5 digital stamps! Also Stephanne has donated a rubber stamp by Whimsy called Starry Night for the second prize!  The winners of the November Challenge are #18 Angela, #28 Mary C. and #50 Cheryl Walker. I have created this gift set of a candle and card to match.

I used Whimsy's Teddy Angel image. I colored it with Copic Markers. I sponged brown ink around it. The paper is Basic Grey and some shiny brown paper that I had in my stash. I ran the brown paper through the Cuttlebug Heart folder. The saying on the heart is Verve stamped with red ink. I added crocheted lace. The pointsettas are punched with the Quikutz with brads in the middles. The punched out leaves are Martha Stewart. You can't hardly tell from the photo but there is a strip of the brown heart paper around the candle. Go check out this fun challenge and  all of the fabulous projects created by my fellow Design Team members! Thanks for stopping by!
