Happy Halloween!

Here is a last minute Halloween card! I admit that I bought this stamp yesterday but it WAS 50% off! I have created this for the House Mouse Challenge #81-Halloween. I also used the sketch at the Basic Grey Challenge*32. The Basic Grey paper that I used is Stella Ruby. The other papers are Moxxie and My Minds Eye. I colored the image with Copic markers. The saying is stickers and I sponged brown and orange around the edges. I added googly eyes to a sparkly ghost. This image cracks me up. The bear is so intent on carving his pumpkin that he is being scared by both sides! Don't watch too many scary movies tonight and thanks for stopping by!

a beautiful dandelion

Hi there! I created a card tonight for 4 challenges.

Cinema Saturday #99-Edward Sissorhands-use a die cut
Play Date Cafe #51-mint green, light blue and beige
An Oldie but a Goodie #4-add a butterfly
Midnight Madness Sketch #76

This saying by Queen Kat Design reminds me of Edward Sissorhands in an odd way! Edward was beautiful and sensitive and he created beautiful things. When you look at a dandelion, you can see the nuisance that they make to your yard! or you can see the beauty in it! I've had this dandelion stamp by StampinUp for at least 5 years. I don't know the manufacturer of the paper. The butterfly is a die cut created with the Cuttlebug. I also ran the blue panel through the Cuttlebug embossing folder. I added pearls and a flower. I also added Dazzling Diamonds to the dandelion. Thanks for stopping by!

Two for the price of one

The Penny Black Challenge #123 has this great sketch. The Just Us Girls Challenge #55-Color Challenge-is to use the colors black, cream and kraft. I couldn't make up my mind which Penny Black stamp to use so I made 2 cards! These should make good sympathy cards. The papers are from a paper stack from Die Cuts with a View. I embossed the images and the saying with black embossing powder. The saying is StampinUp. I added the ribbon. I think that I like the sheer black one the best. Hope that everyone is having a great weekend. Hubby and I went to see Secretariet tonight. It was a pretty good movie. Thanks for stopping by!

Starry, starry night...

I love this stamp! I have had it for over a year and have only inked it up once so I am putting this card in the Oldie But Goodie Challenge #3-All creatures great and small- where you have to use your older stamps. I then cut out the mice, moon, grass and water and glued it on the blue paper. The saying is printed by the computer. The background light blue paper is run through the Cuttlebug embossing folder. I added fiber and silver stars. TGIF! and thanks for stopping by!

a sheltering tree

I have weddings on the brain!

My son is getting married next weekend so I made another wedding card. I have created this card for 4 challenges.

Cinema Saturday Challenge-World Cardmaking Day-pick your favorite movie to base your card on
One Stop Craft Challenge #100-Congratulations
Stamptacular Sunday #79-Layer it on!
365 Card Challenge Day 217-Super Sketchy Sunday

For the Cinema Saturday Challenge, to celebrate World Cardmaking Day, you are supposed to make a card based on your favorite movie. Well, I have a LOT of favorite movies but one of my very favorite is My Big Fat Greek Wedding! My inspiration for this card is the big, fancy wedding that they had in this movie! The image is Shirley's 2 Girls. I embossed it in black and colored it with Copic markers. The saying is embossed too and it is Hero Arts. I ran the silver panel through the lace Cuttlebug embossing folder. The other papers are Hambly and Cloud Nine. I added a Just Married ribbon. Thanks for stopping by!

Don't be Square!

I have created this round Christmas card for 2 challenges. The Penny Black Challenge #121 is to use any shape of card but square. I used a template that I got from the Cutting Cafe. I stamped the Penny Black image twice, cut out the bird and mouse and glued it on my card. It is colored with Copic markers. The saying is StampinUp. For the Basic Grey Challenge #30 you had to use sparkle. The Basic Grey paper that I used is Snowballs from the Blitzen collection. I added Dazzling Diamonds to the snow and the tree. I added ribbon at the top of the card. Thanks for stopping by!
