Cinema Saturday #36-Beauty and the Beast and Allsorts Challenge #5-Triangles

Outside of card

Inside of card

The movie for inspiration for this week at Cinema Saturday Creative Challenge was Beauty and the Beast. I did watch this with my daughter when she was a little girl. She is 25 now and last year we went to a local dinner theatre to watch it. We went with my best friend and her little girl who was 4. We all enjoyed it which tell you what a great movie/show it is! I decided to make my friend's daughter a birthday card using the fairytale/princess theme.

I bought some stencils at Walmart. I used a glue pen and then sprinkled sparkle glitter. I made the corners out of some specialty paper that I had. I added the pink for a little color. I computer generated the titles on vellum and added the bling. I am entering it in the Allsorts challenge too because you were supposed to use triangles on your card and this one has quite a few of them! Thanks for stopping by!

House Mouse Challenge #41-Red, White and Blue

I decided to make the traditional 4th of July card for the Red, White and Blue challenge at The House Mouse Monday Challenge this week. I used the House Mouse stamp Party Hoppers and just stamped one of the three images. I colored him with Copic markers and cut him out and instead of wearing a birthday hat, he is wearing a 4th of July hat and he is holding a sparkler. I then put pop dots on the back of him. For this card I used some of my old, old stash! The paper is Wild Asparagus. Thanks for stopping by!

Cinema Saturday #35-Some Like It Hot and Mojo Monday #90

The movie for inspiration at Cinema Saturday was Some Like it Hot. It was hard for me to get inspired! I watched this movie a long time ago and I rewatched some of the clips and photos for about an hour! I was going to give up and I remembered that I had this Stamp from Inkadinkado. I used Jack Lemon and Tony Curtis in drag as the inspiration for this card. The women on this stamp aren't too pretty and kind of look like men in drag! I stamped the image with black Stazon on glossy paper. I computer generated the title. I ran the pink panel through the Cuttlebug and the orange paper is PiggyTales. I ruffled an orange ribbon on back of the title because you were supposed to use ruffle or lace. The shell and sea horse are K&Co. I used black and white for the image and title because it was a black and white movie but I used bright colors to cheer someone up! I used the great sketch from Mojo Monday. Thanks for stopping by!

Cinema Saturday Challenge #34-Oceans 11

The movie for inspiration at The Cinema Saturday Challenge blog is Oceans 11. It just so happens that we just got back from Las Vegas! It was our first time there and we took our pictures in front of the fountains of the Bellagio. This is the hotel where Oceans 11 was filmed! They have a fountain show and the fountains are synchronized to beautiful music.

I used gold, black and red, trying to get the feel of a Las Vegas casino! The letters are K&Co. chipboard, the other sticker letters are Memory Makers. The other chipboard and patterned paper are from my stash. I found a clip art 9 of diamonds. This layout is loosely based on the sketch provided by Taylor Expressions for the Stamp Out Alzheimers site. I didn't have time to make a layout last week so I made one using the sketch tonight. It felt kind of good getting back to scrapbooking! Thanks for stopping by!
