I made this card for 2 challenges. Stampin for the Weekend and All Sorts Challenge. For Stampin for the Weekend you were supposed to make a pocket card and for the All Sorts Challenge to make a card using acetate. I made a pocket card using acetate for the pocket! This is kind of a fall card in the summer! I wanted to use this pretty Basic Grey paper for the background. THe stamps are Gel-a-tins Sheltering Tree. I got this stamp set in a kit and I just love it! The tag is Chatter box. I attached the pocket with the saying and 2 buttons and added ribbon to the tag. Thanks for stopping by!

Check it out, they have great sketches! I found this clip art lily and sponged green ink around it. The saying is StampinUp and the dragonfly is Stamp Craft stamped on vellum and colored with Copic markers. The background paper is Basic Grey. I added patterned paper and orange gems from my stash. Thanks for stopping by!

I made this card for the Stampin' for the Weekend Challenge. You were supposed to make a card inspired by one of three 60's songs. I chose Time of the Season - Zombies. This card turned out better in my head than in real life! I knew that I wanted to use this stamp set by StampinUp. I inked them with Kaleidoscope Inks that have different shades of colors in the pad. I used my old deckle sissors to cut around the images and the saying. I used patterned paper and ribbon from my stash. Thanks for stopping by!

I did this card for 2 challenges. The movie at Cinema Saturday Challenge was High School Musical. I haven't seen this movie yet because my kids are 25 and 29! My husband and I and all of our friends are turning the big 50 pretty soon! We are invited to a surprise birthday party for one of our friends this weekend so I made this card for him. I used the musical theme from the movie. I inked the chipboard numbers and the saying is Queen Kat Design. I Cuttlebug embossed the silver and bronze panels and used musical paper from my stash. I added fibers, a clip and a musical note. I also used the great sketch from Mojo Munday Thanks for stopping by!

I loved coloring this cute little fairy with Copic markers. The purple panel was run through the Cuttlebug and the paper, flowers and bling are from my stash. Thanks for stopping by!

I am loving this new challenge called The Next Level. They give you different techniques... to try. This week was to make a card using this a sketch. The stamp is another one of my favorites called Pucinni's Muse by Stampington and Co. I embossed her with black embossing powder and then colored her with chalks blended with baby oil. I am stuck on this right now! The saying is Stampabilities and the background on the inside is Stampabilities too which I embossed also. I cut the notes with my Quikuts and the paper is Collage Press and I added ribbon from my stash. Thanks for stopping by!

Outside of card
Inside of card
The movie for inspiration for this week at Cinema Saturday Creative Challenge was Beauty and the Beast. I did watch this with my daughter when she was a little girl. She is 25 now and last year we went to a local dinner theatre to watch it. We went with my best friend and her little girl who was 4. We all enjoyed it which tell you what a great movie/show it is! I decided to make my friend's daughter a birthday card using the fairytale/princess theme.
I bought some stencils at Walmart. I used a glue pen and then sprinkled sparkle glitter. I made the corners out of some specialty paper that I had. I added the pink for a little color. I computer generated the titles on vellum and added the bling. I am entering it in the Allsorts challenge too because you were supposed to use triangles on your card and this one has quite a few of them! Thanks for stopping by!

The challenge at Stamp Something this week is a sketch. After participating in Stamp Out Alzheimer's I treated myself to some new stamps. They are Faerie Song Art Stamps. Heather offered free shipping because of SOA. I love these stamps! I colored her with Copic markers and for the flesh and background I tried chalks with baby oil for the first time. The paper is Flair Designs and the bling and ribbon is from my stash. Thanks for stopping by!

I decided to make the traditional 4th of July card for the Red, White and Blue challenge at The House Mouse Monday Challenge this week. I used the House Mouse stamp Party Hoppers and just stamped one of the three images. I colored him with Copic markers and cut him out and instead of wearing a birthday hat, he is wearing a 4th of July hat and he is holding a sparkler. I then put pop dots on the back of him. For this card I used some of my old, old stash! The paper is Wild Asparagus. Thanks for stopping by!

For this card I used the sketch at Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge. I love Irish Blessings and this stamp is from My Sentiments Exactly. The patterned papers are Bo Bunny. The gold paper is some from my stash and I added gold brads. I made a ribbon from the tutorial that is on The Next Level. We had to make a card with a ribbon frame for that Challenge. Thanks for stopping by!

The movie for inspiration at Cinema Saturday was Some Like it Hot. It was hard for me to get inspired! I watched this movie a long time ago and I rewatched some of the clips and photos for about an hour! I was going to give up and I remembered that I had this Stamp from Inkadinkado. I used Jack Lemon and Tony Curtis in drag as the inspiration for this card. The women on this stamp aren't too pretty and kind of look like men in drag! I stamped the image with black Stazon on glossy paper. I computer generated the title. I ran the pink panel through the Cuttlebug and the orange paper is PiggyTales. I ruffled an orange ribbon on back of the title because you were supposed to use ruffle or lace. The shell and sea horse are K&Co. I used black and white for the image and title because it was a black and white movie but I used bright colors to cheer someone up! I used the great sketch from Mojo Monday. Thanks for stopping by!

This is my card for the Allsorts challenge. You were supposed to use the colors pink and white. I used the House Mouse stamp Relaxing Bubbles. I colored it with Copic Markers. I added a ribbon and patterned paper from my stash. My high school colors were purple and gold so this wasn't so hard for me! Thanks for stopping by!

The movie for inspiration at The Cinema Saturday Challenge blog is Oceans 11. It just so happens that we just got back from Las Vegas! It was our first time there and we took our pictures in front of the fountains of the Bellagio. This is the hotel where Oceans 11 was filmed! They have a fountain show and the fountains are synchronized to beautiful music.
I used gold, black and red, trying to get the feel of a Las Vegas casino! The letters are K&Co. chipboard, the other sticker letters are Memory Makers. The other chipboard and patterned paper are from my stash. I found a clip art 9 of diamonds. This layout is loosely based on the sketch provided by Taylor Expressions for the Stamp Out Alzheimers site. I didn't have time to make a layout last week so I made one using the sketch tonight. It felt kind of good getting back to scrapbooking! Thanks for stopping by!

I did this card for 2 challenges. They are having a contest at Mojo Monday and at Allsorts Challenge you are supposed to make a "curly, swirly" card. I hope this card is curly and swirly enough! I colored the image with Copic Markers. I bought this stamp set a few years ago at a scrapbook convention. It is from Savoir Faire but the sun is StampinUp and the papers are from StampinUp too. Summer is on the way so here is a preview card! Thanks for stopping by!

The challenge at the House Mouse Challenge Blog was to do a wedding, love or anniversary card. The challenge at The Cuttlebug Spot was to use a colored image. I decided to give the little mice an outdoor wedding! I colored the images with Copic Markers and chalks. I Cuttlebugged and inked the grass, hand cut out the tree but stamped the limb and bird and saying with Hero Arts stamps. The House Mouse stamp is Playing Dress Up. I added the flowers and the bling. This card was fun to make even though there was a lot of sissor work! Thanks for stopping by!
