I love cranes!

I love Chinese art especially cranes. They fly over our house sometimes and I love to see and hear them. I found this stamp today by Hanko Designs. I embossed it with black embossing powder. The rubon is Creative Imaginations. For the background of the crane I dabbed blue ink with a crumpled plastic paper on a cream panel. For the green panel, I stamped Versamark and the clear embossed it. The stamp is Hero Arts. I created this card for the Play Date Cafe #27-light green, light blue and cream and the simple Midnight Madness Sketch #51. I think that I will give this as a graduation card to my friend's son. Thanks for stopping by!

Sweet Smelling Lilacs

I have my scrapbook room nice and clean now! I donated a bunch of stuff to 2 girls at work for the Boys Scouts and Girl Scouts to make crafts. I am on a self imposed "no spending on crafts" freeze except for tomorrow! I am meeting my sister to shop at this quaint town in Indiana that has 2 great stamp stores! I created this card for 3 challenges.

House Mouse Challenge #65-Flower Power
The Cuttlebug Spot-Favorite Flower
Truly Scrumptous Sketch #31-Hidden Message

The Gruffie is colored with Copic markers. I ran the light purple panel using the flower Cuttlebug folder. The patterned paper is K&Co. I made the lilacs using heart and leaf punches. I hope they don't look like grapes! The tag pulls out with a Happy Birthday message. Thanks for stopping by!

Oklahoma!

Whew! I had too much to do tonight! I borrowed this stamp set from a girl at work, she brought it today. It is from StampinUp. I had to come home, mow before it rained, fix lasagne for my boys to eat when they got back from turkey hunting, make this card, go to my excersize class, post my card... anyway, I think I got it posted before the deadline at the Cinema Saturday Challenge#75.The movie for inspiration is Oklahoma. I had fun reviewing the clips because it had been a long time since I had watched it. I decided to make a masculine card to honor Curly, one of my favorite characters. He has the most beautiful voice! The saying is Inkadinkado. I embossed the stars with the Cuttlebug. I added flowers, buttons and a gingham ribbon. I used the reflection technique on the horse. You can find how to do it here. I used the sketch from Midnight Madness Sketch #50. Now, time for bed, my excersize class kicked my behind tonight! Thanks for stopping by!

Brown can be pretty!

The challenge at the Penny Black Challenge #97 was to use monochromatic brown. After using all of the pretty Spring colors, this was quite a bit of a challenge. It helps using a cute Penny Black image colored with Copic markers. The saying is Stampabilities. The background music stamp is Stampabilities also. I used the more simple sketch at the Midnight Madness Challenge #49. I added a polka dot ribbon. Thanks for stopping by!

A Colorful House Mouse Card

I created this card for the House Mouse Monday Challenge #67. The challenge is to use the recipe of 3 flowers, 2 papers and 1 ribbon. I would also like to try out for the Design Team. I love making House Mouse cards and I have quite a few House Mouse Stamps:) I colored the image with Copic markers. The patterned paper is Dream Street Papers. I added Prima flowers and ribbon. I used the sketch from Inspirational Card Sketches #62. I think that I love this image because I am an x-ray tech and the little mouse is cheering up his friend with the broken leg! Thanks for stopping by!

Black and Orange Thank You

The colors for the Play Date Cafe #25 is black, white and a splash of orange. I embossed this image by Hero Arts with black embossing powder. The bottom stamp is also Hero Arts in orange. I added the gems and ribbon. I am also entering it into the Stamp Something-Something Layered Challenge because there are quite a few layers on this card. This is a simple card, but I like how it turned out. Black and orange reminds me of Halloween but you can use them for other cards! THanks for stopping by!
