House Mouse Challenge #30-Shape Card
Here is my entry for this weeks House Mouse Challenge. You were supposed to make a card in a shape other than a square or rectangle. I wasn't going to make one this week because I thought that would be too hard to do, I was wrong, it was easy when I came up with an idea! My best friend's daughter is going to be 5 in June so I decided to make her a birthday card. I shaped it in a K and it does open up. Instead of a mouse holding an egg, he is holding a cupcake! Instead of a mouse getting a candy valentine, he is holding a present. Instead of 2 mice hanging from a dragonfly, they are hanging from a Happy Birthday sign! The cupcake is Stampabilities and the Happy Birthday and present are Queen Kat Designs. The flowers are FloraDoodles and the butterflies are Heidi Swapp. This was fun to make and I have a feeling that she will like it!
I posted it scanned on a black background too because the other scan made it look like a rectangle card!

ReplyDeleteHow creative you are! Great idea to use a letter and then to modify the stamps to fit your theme so nicely. Fab job!
ReplyDeleteHi there, I wanted to stop by and say thanks for the blog welcome and the input on my HM egg. And of course, I wanted to take a peek at your entry, which is adorable. I like the initial and that you used multiple images in one birthday piece. It's so hard to choose one image to work with, they're all so cute!! Great card. Great ideas.
ReplyDeleteHi. I didn't participate in the HM challenge last week but I wanted to stop by and see what you had done. What a clever idea. And, indeed, you've been very busy since then. Very beautiful work. Martha Kay
