An Irish Blessing

The movie for inspiration this week at Cinema Saturday #67 is Tristan and Isolde. My husband had to work over tonight so I watched about half of it on the internet. I am not too keen about finishing it because I think Tristan dies in the end:( Anyway, she is from Ireland and he is from Britain which are at war. I thought that this Irish Blessing would be appropriate. The birds represent Tristan and Isolde.

I used stamps from 4 different companies. The birds are StampinUp. The Irish Blessing is My Sentiments Exactly! The scene on the inside is A Stamp in the Hand Co. and the saying on the inside is Verve. I used green craft ink and embossed it with clear embossing powder. The birds are stamped with VersaMark and embossed with white. I ran the sides of the card with the Argyle embossing folder with the Cuttlebug and rubbed silver on it. I also used green silver paper. This is a gate fold card. Thanks for stopping by!

  1. This is very pretty. I like monochromatic designs - an easy simplicity that I often forget about.

  6. I'm finding my seat for the movie late this week as I worked Tues and Wed. Card is wonderful. Love that Irish green and of course the scene stamp (that's Kevin of Stampscapes design when he was with SIH before forming his own company.) I always loved that Irish blessing. Not familiar with this movie, but your card is beautiful as usual!!
